![]() Update on above. The 2.5 is now insured from 24th of June. Just got to do brake check, along with handbrake, and two new drop links on the back, then we are away, hopefully. Just the mot to get through. The insurance came in at just over £500.00

![]() Dropped the ZT off at my favoured garage for the sill repair front and rear on the drivers side. As expected, inner sill had slightly dissolved and the previous patch repair prior to my buying it was evident but it is in good hands. Hopefully it will be back by the end of the week, I have cavity protection ready to get sprayed in the length of the sill, I do need to get the clips for the sill trim yet though. Then once the holidays are by, it will be back in for the same on the passenger side, which doesn’t look as bad…. At the front at least.

![]() Took the 1.8 project for an mot, glad to say it passed advisory free.
Not too bad for nearly 10 years off the road, the garage is doing a full underbody clean and rust prevention while they have the car too, seems to be the sensible thing to do! Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk

![]() Had a nearside Tom Hobbs sill repair panel welded in today by Johnny the Welder in Rugby. Fantastic work, you just cannot see where it was welded in. Only £90 too.
This was one of the advisories on my last MOT and although the next MOT isn't due until December, there will be other work that needs doing, most expensive being upper rear suspension arms, and I wanted to spread the cost out over the year. It's a bit of a workhorse and it wouldn't win any beauty pageants but I manage to keep it plodding on. |

![]() Got rust on the front and rear subframes and rear lower arms ground off, rust treated and painted up. Have cavity wax to go in, the cavities, but want to get the body rust underneath ground off and treated first. Definitely looks far better already though with just the above done

![]() Checked a rubbing sound on the nearside rear brake, to find 1 pad over half worn, and the inside one down to the metal, ( just caught it in time)..
Big issue is the discs and pads were changed in March 24 and have done less than 1000 miles.. Just got a full refund from Amazon, and waiting for new pads tomorrow.. Borg and beck ... I used these exact same ones from amazon last time and they lasted 5-6 years with no issues C
