6 degrees this evening so I’ve just having a large, I mean smallish, Brandy to keep out the damp.
Central heating engineer popped in tonight and said that the boiler needs replacing as it is too old to service anymore. It appears it has been repaired a few times in the past. He asked about the 3 MG’s outside, and I told him they were mine. He loved the Yellow One but when I told him what power plant was in the V8, he wanted to have a better look. I said I would let him look when he came back. Oh! Another Brandy? Ok then...........

Good morning all, in the midst of life there is death and it is the price we pay for living it but life must go on and we have to make the best of it whilst we can. Losing a loved one, a partner, husband or wife, a son or daughter, mum or dad, is something we all fear and have to deal with. Some people never get over it, but they do their best. When someone dies, the worst thing apart from losing them, is when your friends ignore your grief or they don't know what to say. That does not happen here, as we are all supportive for anyone of us having to face it.
Yesterday, I took Jessica to the hospital to have a bone scan for Osteoporosis. In the waiting room, a young man got up so I could have his seat. In Kenya, if you are a wrinkly or have white hair, the oldies are revered and respected. I thanked him for showing respect and consideration. We are going back today to pick up the results, 28C is forecast. It is a blue sky and getting warm already. |

It is snake season here and after my encounter with the big snake the other evening, I watched "Skyfall". I had seen it before but it helped me to relax. I have complied with Andy's request for a photo. The snakes come out early evening just after dark or before dark when it is cooler for them to travel across the grass. I could not find the snake to photograph, sorry Andy I did try and I have laid down snake repellent around the outside of the house as we do not want them inside. Some people love snakes, but I am not one of them. Most of the snakes in Kenya are deadly. The one I saw round the back looked like a Cobra. One film I will not watch is "Snakes on a plane", but each to their own |

Morning Phil, Richard and everyone else.
It’s 5 degrees possibly rising to 10 later on but it is drizzling. Staying in today, waiting to find out what the engineers are going to do about replacing the boiler.

Good morning Bob, 2 years ago we had replace the boiler at the flat in Bristol. We covered the cost and the tenants did not have to pay anything. I hope the installation all goes well.
