Aww, great pic Steve, Tiddy is booked in at the groomers for a full MOT in a Cpl of weeks, wont be a pleasant thing as she does not like being washed / dried since a useless groomer scared her a few years ago.

Suzy doesn't bother about being groomed, she's laid back about life in general. Maya, to my surprise, was fine about it considering this was her first but Pops hates being groomed, goes nuts when it comes to her belly, legs and feet. Going to have to get her some kind of tranquilliser from the vet.

My old Collie was never bathed in the time we had him, he was fine getting brushed, but he always kept himself clean. The Westie the mrs had, went through similar treatment, as a pup he was fine with baths and grooming, then he was taken to a groomer's and shut in a cage for an hour before his turn. By the time he was about to be done, he was so worked up, he was unhandleable and wouldn't let anyone touch him. So he never got done. It was only when I came on the scene. I knew someone who was prepared to do him as long as I was with him.

Suzy and Pops are both Shih Tzus, Maya is half Shih Tzu, they don't cast hair, it grows continually hence having to get them clipped every couple of months. How a dog feels about grooming depends 100% on the groomer. Our Poodle used to hate being groomed then we discovered the place we were using had a bit of a reputation for not being particularly gentle. Used a few others since then settled on a mobile service, she was good but disappeared off the scene a while ago. Talking to other dog walkers we found out about a place in Tranent, they're good, used them the last couple of times.
Glad they managed to squeeze Maya in today as well, desperately needed it, she was starting to look like a burst mattress. Been trying to get her first clip but everywhere booked months in advance, Tranent usually so busy never actually thought of trying them. Gave up trying elsewhere and messaged them this morning asking when they could take her (expecting weeks away) and was surprised when they said bring her with Suzy and Pops if I want. |

That's good Steve, we are hoping this one will cure ours of her fears, she used to love going.

Postmodern JukeBox
Odd bit of music to round off the evening.
Great band (with lots of different line-ups) doing retro covers of modernish songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xUN...3FDOq1CrUxP9-r

Morning all. Finally surfaced at 9am, not the best of nights sleep. But at least I woke up.
Bright with light cloud cover this morning.

Morning all, haven't slept well for days now. We are having a traumatic time atm, the wife's sister's husband has had a mild heart attack, and is currently in hospital undergoing tests. He had a bypass about 9 years ago after a previous attack, so we are waiting to hear what procedures they are able to do. Not looking good . Last time his arteries were too badly damaged to put stents in.
