As previously said, the hospital said they would ring me on my mobile in the morning telling us when we should come in for a Ultra Scan, this was 0230 am.
Come the morning expecting said phone call, in anticipation, being proactive we thought make our way to the hospital at 09.30 am only having three hours sleep
If they ring we would already be on our way, arrive at hospital at 10.30, arrive at the reception explaining the situation the girl said we don’t have your wife booked in, take a seat I will go and check, an hour goes by, she comes back and said the Ultra Scan was cancelled, Oh Bleddy brilliant I replied, my wife might have a serious problem and somebody decides to cancel an appointment withoout telling us, leave it with me I will check with the sister in charge, ten minutes go by, it’s okay we can give her a CT scan, we are now at 11.45, two hours later Dawn is called to give another blood sample, then await the test results.
Come two o clock I ask have the results come back yet, yes someone will be with you shortly, 15.30, they put a CANILER in her arm, ready for the CT scan if I have spelt that wrong sorry!.
16.15 we go down for the scan, half hour later all done, back up to the waiting room, to await the results, 18.30 called in for chat with a doctor, she said they could not see anything out of the ordinary, STRANGE?.
We asked if it was still okay to go on holiday to Germany this coming Thursday.
In her opinion could see no reason why not, but would need a second opinion,
RESULT, OKAY TO GO,!! Eventually got home at 20.30pm.

She is going too have more checks after we get back, but for God’s grace all seems to be well at the moment.

Once again many thanks for your concerns?

Dawn and Julien
Sorry I missed your original post Julien,

Wishing Dawn all the best and everything turns out okay. Hope that you both get to enjoy your trip to Germany after all.

Good morning Julien, good news for you both. 27C is forecast today. Remember your travel insurance and free healthcare under the EU, is there as a backup should you need it

This morning I am taking Jessica in for her repeat occult blood stool test number 3, then I am going to “Little India” to have the iPhone power button replaced. The phone won’t turn off. They said it will take about 2 hours to do the work.

I had a chat with my younger brother. He said his PSA for Prostate Cancer had shot right up. 4 years ago he was diagnosed, treated and given the all clear. The specialist told him it has returned. He has had all the scans, but they can’t find where it is. It’s not in the bones or in any of the obvious places, but they are keeping a close eye.

We are both the same about turning the tables on bad news and try to keep positive about everything. It’s half the battle won. Catch you later.....

Many thanks Phil, we are all getting older, and some times the prospect of that chills me to the bone, every time you get an ache or a strange pain you start to think of the worse.
But any way we have to keep smiling and deal with it the best way we know how,

Love to Jessica and have a great Christmas we hope tol catch up with you both in the new year
