I'll be in Norwich and Acle tomorrow so you can count on the rain!

Taking the boat round the corner to get a pump out tomorrow after work

Figured it would be the right thing to do before we do the exchange on Friday

Try Scotland, always looks like it will rain soon!

Does nobody want work anymore? I emailed two engravers in Edinburgh about a job last week and neither has got back to me Only open option I have is a local place who doesn't do it himself, instead he takes it to a guy about 40 miles away! Means the engraver can't see the job first and I can't see the quality of his work.

I had the dubious pleasure of being based in Faslane a few times... I'm having difficulty remembering any pleasant weather, it always felt cold and miserable :p lol

You were on (or is it in?) submarines weren't you. It does tend to be more dreich across the west than it is here.

Yup... I served in the 2nd Submarine Squadron normally based out of Gus (Plymouth) but on workups and the like we would run out of Faslane due to it's proximity to the Kyle of Lochalsh testing grounds where my last boat (Trafalgar) famously ran aground on a perishers course although that was after i left her of course http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/2416223.stm

Oh did i mention that it was always cold, miserable and windy?

p.s. I had to google dreich and its an apt term

We had a holiday (B&B) on Lewis. It was always grey and drizzly if not raining. At breakfast one morning my other half asked the B&B owner when was the best time of year to come, he replied this is the best time of year!

Lol... that really doesn't surprise me at all... I would guess i probably spent a total of 6 months in Faslane over the years and i think i can only remember 1 or 2 days that i could honestly say was pleasant and warm but of course my memory may have been affected by medicinal amounts of alcohol imbibed after periods spent away at sea
