Afternoon folks - a late appearance from me I'm afraid. It's been a hectic morning (and late night last night) after accompanying my sister to hospital yesterday.
Basically, they've found 3 litres of fluid on her lungs, and various 'shadows' on the CT scan which need to be investigated further. She was kept in last night, and they're doing an exploratory op. today to drain the fluid, and take samples for biopsy to try and get to the root of the problem. The results of the biopsy won't be known for around 10 days, so when she's discharged, possibly on Thursday, my missus will again take up residence in my sister's bungalow to keep an eye on her. Unfortunately, my sister's daughter is in New Zealand on holiday, one son is in Cumbria on holiday and her other son, whilst a lovely lad, isn't the kind of person to whom you would delegate any responsibility for being in charge of a milk float

I can better that one. In a local bar in the Philippines, went to the bog. Standing there having a pee and written on the wall in front of me was "The future of the Philippines is what you are holding in your hand now"!

Got a reminder that my license is due for renewal. You can do it online, they use your passport as a reference (mine's expired) or at a Post Office . . . . if you can find one that does it! Ended up having to rake away up to one in the middle of Edinburgh. Before anybody mentions it I'm going to check all the entitlements are still there on the new one, even took a pic of mine before I went up.
