This Lounge was created for lighthearted discussion, it can be once again, if we all obey the rules it is up to all of us to keep it that way, perhaps we can persuade the originator to come back into the fold once again.

Personal gripes should not be ironed out on here, if you have one do it through the P/M facility, and don’t involve any one else.

Agreed and let those who wish to disturb the tranquility of this zone be severely ignored

Cool

If people cannot be civil to one and other then they are not welcome on any section of this forum.

Stu's dream yes, and his parting words to us all, were to keep the place going. Derek was our unofficial chairman, he asked Phil to take over the birthday wishes, while he was in hospital, so it seems only fitting that Phil should become the new chairman/President. Derek would have wanted this, joking aside.

I've just had a wee, well sort of, dram of Midwinter's Night single malt.

With the greatest of respects Richard, I have no desire to be a President. We have a resident moderator in Bob who has the power to make the children behave and keep all the ducks in line

I still think about Derek. From the heart, he was irreplaceable, loved and missed by all of us. He did ask me to do the birthdays, so I do my best to follow in his tradition. When I am not here, Elroy or Bob have said they will help out. Thanks guys for that. Richard, have a peaceful night

Agreed, the term president is used loosely Phil. We just want someone to look to as a “father figure” so to speak
