Came back from hospital with news there is a small polyp in my left ear, stopping the wax from clearing. When the nurse asked the junior nurse,"what size reamers have we got" i walked out.

I apologise for being absent on parade yesterday, but I had a really busy day. Haircut in the morning - followed by a VERY long lunch with two customers from my Prontaprint business days. We met at a rather nice pub on the outskirts of Darlington - FREE beer if you're eating at lunchtime !!!
Today - I've spent most of it adding extra layers of clothing to ward off the cold, until I finally admitted defeat and put the heating on.
Is it just me - or has this Winter been one of the more persistantly cold ones of recent years?
We seem to have gone for weeks with either cold/frosty/snowy - or bitterly cold winds which freeze yer lugs off.It must have been pretty damp as my mate the farmer says all his fields are absolutely saturated.

Evening all, Finally stopped raining this afternoon by that wind was a bit taters.
I've had the house to myself so I've been making some noise & had a Hank Marvin day playing some Shadows songs with me Jazzmaster .......my 'Shadows walk' needs some more practice lol.

Definitely agree with Rod, It's been wetter this year than I can remember too and we've had lots more bitterly cold winds from a northerly direction, It's been months since the decking and lawns were dry, you just sink up to your ankles if you walk on the lawn

Had a feast for tea , roast chicken with garlic/herb seasoning, roast spuds, roast parsnips, mash, cabbage & carrots.

As someone who has to work in all weathers, I agree totally. This has bern the coldesr ,wettest winter for a good few years, i think we have got used to mild wintets, so when we gate a taste of the real thing, its harder to deal with.
Next October(19), I will have worked outside for 30 years, and it is now taking its toll on my body. Arthritic lumps at bottom of both wrists, pain and discomfort in back, knees and ankles. This year I am taking steps to diversify my work so come next winter, I can work inside more and outside less. If I don't, then I doubt I will see my state pension. That won't come for another17 years.

I don't blame you Rich, nothing worse than working outside and freezing your nut's off. That need's to be left to young one's, then again our little Snowflake's wouldn't survive .
