Evening all, Well it remained dry for the afternoon so I made three trips in the trailer to the recycling centre with stuff out of the garage & there's still a shedload more , My missus is a closet hoarder & trying to get her to part with some stuff is hard work
It's gotta go this week as the Rover will be retired at the end of the month & I've got to make use of the tow bar. Tea tonight is a blast from the past, Fishfingers chips & mushy peas.

Do you not need a permit to use a trailer at your local council tip Ian! Up here you cant tip with a van, pick up or ANY trailer with out a permit, and one has to be handed over every visit, . They are even strict on how much you can drop WITH a permit, last Christmas,(2016); we were clearing my late dad’s house out, and I had a full load of just general junk, the tip officials werent going to let me drop it, saying there were too many vans using the site, and they suspected I was a house clearance service. I was furious, telling them I had the permit, which allowed me to dispose of household waste, which is what was in the van. I explained that it was from my late father’s house, and offered to go home and get the death certificate, and would THAT satisfy them?!

My single axle trailer is free but a twin axle trailer & vans need permits. I've never had any trouble with the amount of stuff I take, I got the trailer mostly for garden/tree cuttings as we fill the green garden waste bin gets full quickly.

I only take garden waste down too, along with the hen muck spoiled woodshavings from their house, it all goes into garden waste anyway, as its organic matter, will get mixed in with the mulch anyway.
