Just nipped out to Aldi for a few things, I'm starting a new regime alternate days for fry ups I'm putting on too much weight so I'm having cereal, fruit & fibre every other day.

I did look for some Guinness & leek sausages though they still didn't have any in stock.

Morning all - eventually

Had a good long lie in this morning after two 'orrible nights' lack of sleep. It may be coincidence, and I hope it is, but those two nights are the first since I started taking a doubled-up dose of statins. Another two nights with similar symptoms, and I'll be chopping the bleedin' pills in half.

It's a grey, cold (but not frosty) miserable day today here - so I'm wearing my indoor electrician's hat. After the painter finished yesterday, SWMBO decided that all the switches and sockets in the hall, stairs and landing would look better in brushed stainless steel, rather than standard white - so off we went to B&Q later yesterday afternoon and forked out £26
Now all I've got to do is switch the power off and fit 'em

Delighted to say I think I've broken the back of this cold bug. Still a bit choked up and headachey but nowhere near as bad as I've been, cough has died down thankfully.

A lovely day for a walk along the seafront to the Esk and back via the race course. The dogs would love it at least

I have a bowl of porridge with a squeeze of honey

Fry ups now on special occasions only, ie holidays and highdays

And I am still obese

That's what the fat nurse told me

I was 14st 10lbs on my last check-up a few weeks ago - at 5' 10" than means I'm 29.5 on the Richter - sorry, BMI scale. To be healthy, according to the same scale, I should be between 9st 3lbs and 12st 7lb. Never been the latter since I was about 12 or 13 year old

The thing that's got me thinking about changes to my diet is I have a really comfy good fitting pair of jeans but now they look like dough rising through twine when I wear them (or try to)

I'm 6' 2" & a little over 16 stone according to the new bathroom scales my missus bought. the trouble is there's a shedload of bacon & black pudding in the fridge and I'm not throwing it out

It's been a dark miserable drizzly day here and I'm having beef Stroganoff for tea....well half of one now
