Good morning all from S.Wales. Looks like a start to fine day.
I maybe shouted down for this, but i agree with Gate Keeper about drinking in moderation. I am in my 70s and rarely drink, but there are some men around town who i was in school with, who have been heavy drinkers all their lives. Don't want to sound egotistic, but they look and act about 10/15 yrs older than me.

Good morning Steve, I am happy your having a pleasant start. Have a great day. Last night at 10:30pm it was 23.5C in the bedroom and no heating required, so I dare not complain about the weather

As your ex-police here is a real life story. How sad for 2 police men who lost their lives, just doing their job on foot patrol at 4 a.m near the airport. Executed by goons, who shot them in the back.

Within 24 hours of the atrocity, the police managed to track the bandits down, through the mobile phones they had stolen from the dead officers, cowardly thugs, cornered by the Flying Squad, who then shot them dead in a gun battle.

I had no idea your in your 70’s, but the serious points you have raised about drinking in moderation makes a strong argument for living longer, holidays away and lots of sex on the beach

I stopped drinking a few years ago and don't miss it, no reason other than I just went off it. I was never a drinker, 30 years of shift work saw to that. Last time I had a drink I really took a fancy for a can of beer so got some when I was shopping, had one can, nah, I'm not enjoying this so that was that.

Afternoon all, It's been a nice day here albeit the north easterly wind, It's proper taters out in it unless you're doing something to keep warm.

I snowfoamed the car & de-dog drolled it from the other day when I took my sister & her mutley to the vets.

Ended up doing some pointing on the front path flags I levelled t'other day.

I'm cream crackered now so I'm willing to take your unwanted cans of beer off you.

Can't help you there Ian. I found beer in the shed a while ago . . . . over a year past the expiry date!

Have you any plans for a leisurely day?
I'm having a VERY leisurely day Phil - hence it has taken so long to pick up and respond to your post
Son, missus and grandkids popped in this morning for a coffee on their way shopping - grandson is growing so quickly, he needs new, longer trousers regularly
We've just had homemade corned beef and potato pie, chips, peas and gravy for lunch - and I'm now considering a snooze in the armchair.
