Morning all,

Hopefully the mist will be burnt off by the sun and you will all have a glorious day of sunshine

G'day all - I've been housesitting all day, waiting for a parcel to arrive - and it hasn't done yet.

In the meantime, if you like it hot (your cuppa soup that is) - can I recommend Ainsley Harriott's "Goan Spiced Chicken Cup Soup". If you have a delicate palate, it would be worth having half a glass of cold milk available

I think it translates as "once you've drunk it, you'll spend the rest of the day goan - to the loo!!"

Afternoon all, I never did get around to doing the gardening I decided to install the PIR LED motion sensor floodlight I bought ages ago I've now got all the garden covered, This 30W LED is as bright as the old 500 W Halogen light & uses a fraction of electricity

I've also been doing some odd jobs on the car & given it a wash & polish inside & out too.

Beef/mushroom Stroganoff for tea with new potatoes in garlic & herb butter with some o that Riced cauliflower stirred in the remains of the garlic/herb butter.

I remember the shock to my wallet when I installed a 500w Halogen floodlight a few years ago Ian. I now have a couple of solar powered PIR flood lights, bought from Aldi for around £17 each. Up to now, they have performed fine, even after cloudy days with no direct sunlight. The next few months will be the test as to whether they will consistently work during the Winter/. They're certainly not as bright as the old halogen ones were, but you can see enough of the back garden to go to the bin without breaking your neck
I've swapped all my halogen spotlights in the caravan for LEDs too - apart from anything else, if you accidentally touch one when switching it off, you don't burn your fingers. Those halogen bulbs used to get ferociously hot

At least 470 watts worth of saving
