Thank you both, we will know more after Jessica has seen the specialist on Wednesday. Her flight can be postponed, but if all goes well she can keep to her travel plans and return later on to care for me.

Thank you Tony, it is what it is and pales in comparison to today's awful loss of life in North Kensington.

Default A postcard from Devon

Since Monday, we've seen a dramatic improvement in the weather down here - drier (much), sunnier (much), hotter (much), so we've been out and about, taking in the scenery and the sights.
On Monday, we met up with friends from Plymouth who we hadn't seen for 38 years. We met on Dartmoor at the National Park Centre, where they treated us to a couple of miles hike, followed by a car trip to see some of the more outlying sights. We then repaired to Wetherspoons for a 10oz gamon steak and a drop of draught Thatchers Haze cider

Some stunning scenery up on the Moor -
Dartsmeet - where the East and West Dart rivers come together

Hay Tor - from near the top, looking across Haytor towards Bovey Tracey

A troubled bridge over water - where the 'eck has the handrail gone

We did a bit of horsing about .....

.... and foaled around for a while

Yesterday, we went to Paignton Zoo, where .....
..... there were some really smart birds

.....some poisonous little frogs

.... a miserable guy who turned () his back on us

,,,,, a young lady with really long legs

AND - we met up with one of Angela's long lost relatives. At first, he just ignored us

..... but eventually we made eye contact

He didn't seem particularly happy to see us though

Note to self:- must remember that once the hair on top has disappeared, it's too darned easy to get sunburn on the bald patch - ouch

I can think of someone who fits the description of the two pics prior to the giraffe.

That's a bit unkind - I'm sure Pat doesn't look as grumpy as that

Good morning Derek, it was nice and sunny here only ten minutes ago, now it has turned dark and cloudy . Not to worry though yesterday was nice and I managed to mow the lawn and get out on the bike .
