No, as far as I know it is not an available option on the Alpine. I do have a a "Road Angel" system that I could use when out and about away from home but I don't like it sitting on my dashboard

By far the most difficult thing with this project has been the fascia.

We had access to the E46 type fascia for quite some time and although it was the right size, the original fixing points were useless for the Rover 75.

It took a lot of effort and also a lot of inspired design by Eammon to come up with the finished article which I think looks very close to being OEM.

I, on the other hand will quite happily fly on his coat-tails as it were

If anybody is seriously considering a double DIN fitting it would certainly be worth approaching a moulding engineer or even the originator of the E46 fascia to have one made specifically for the 75 / ZT.

A group buy would be the way to go and if anybody DOES decide to get it off the ground, count ME in for one of them

Yes, I completely agree. As I was doing the modification, I wished many times I had taken the easier option of a fold out unit and Iovox fascia  Now that I am finished, however, I'm glad I stuck with it as I think it looks fab.

TBH Paul, once you modify yours it will be just as good (if not better) than any "professional" job.

I managed to finish my fascia

I didn't realise how much difference there would be between supposedly identical cars.

I ended up having to carry out some major surgery to the shelf at the back of the centre console cavity.

Pretty crappy images, I know, but it's not the sort of weather you want to be out taking photographs in at the moment

Once again, thanks to Eammon (CDTi) for all his help

That is indeed a bit of a mystery.

One thing, though, the opening on the double din fascia looks bigger on yours - mine is just barely big enough to allow the tilting, but there seems to be plenty of space top and bottom on yours

Likewise . A job like this is much easier when you can bounce ideas off someone else.

Are you happy with your fascia?

Oh yes It lacks merely the IPC-107p to make the installation complete.
