She's not the only one. My wife too is finding this difficult, we have no family involved however. I make sure the news is off when she pops into the whatever room it's on. Hope they are now safe. |

I believe so, I think its the fact they had young children was one of the reasons they left, I believe the mum and dad of one of the couple have stayed behind. Agree with turning off the news, we've had to stop our 7 year old watching the 6pm news, but I believe his school is showing the news in a child friendly format of Newsround.

Some friends of ours have a young family, they were telling us that the older boy was crying late one night in his bedroom and went to ask what the problem was? Apparently he was worried the Russians were going to bomb us and he would not be able to go to School .
We are lucky that we understand but there are a lot of adults worrying what the long term repurcussions are going to be. I was told today that we apparently buy a lot of raw materials for the manufacture of cleaning products from the Ukraine and Russia, stock up on the Fairy and Bleach as that could be the next one in short supply. |

Just had a C130 pass low over us. Tracked him on Freedar and he'd started off in Estonia and just landed at Lakenheath.
Not something one sees on a regular basis. |
