Derek texted me back to let us know whats been happening.

Hi Jeff many thanks for your text sorry to have taken so long to answer it but these last few days have been a nightmare.

First of all on Monday I went to Feet Hospital to see the surgeon who carried out the second operation on my neck she took the dressing off and seemed very pleased with it and said that there was no need for any more dressing,so far so good the world was beginning to smell of rose

Then in the afternoon I went to the Health Centre to have treatment fot my skin cancer and to be fair they did say that the treatment was not very pleasant and things would get worse before they got better they weren't kidding I had a hard job to breathe and I caught an infection in my ear where my blood count dropped so low and then to top it all got up last night to do for a wee and collapsed on the bath room floor and Lillian could not lift me been on to the doctor this morning and have been told to stop the treatment .Please apologies to the boys for me and I will be back as soon as I can,all the best to you all Derek

Thank you Jeff, someone just sent a message that Derek is a bit under the weather and Julien is away fishing. Shocking news that Derek has not been well, he has always been able to pull through and I am sure he is going to beat this

Blimey! It's funny how things work out. when I was in the conservatory yesterday a piece of mortar hit the roof, It was a piece from the chimney. A local roofing guy just put a flyer through the letterbox for any roofing work done, I said the chimney wants re-pointing & fresh cement capping + there are four end ridge tiles that have slipped down a couple of inches, I bartered & got a good price from him £200 all in.

He's just finishing a job around the corner then he's starting here, I best bring the washing in.
