This was yesterday but decided to remove the CD changer in the glovebox as I won't use it (I have a Bluetooth adapter and some cassette tapes for nostalgia sake). I'd read it would be bolted in from the bottom so removed tray/cover to fuses and looked. Difficult to see in dark but couldn't see any fasteners. Took the whole glovebox out and unfortunately have damaged glovebox light switch! After all that, I found there were no fasteners and the CD player was mounted in the box with several strips of sticky foam

Thanks. 1 local to me disposed of all of their Rover/MG stocks, the other has rather tatty rear cards, mine are almost pristine, so shall keep them in for the time being. With my old ZS I used a TF tweeter to fill the hole so I was hoping something similar could be achieved until a decent set of cards can be sourced. Replacing the seats are higher on my list at the moment.

I am sorry for my compatriot's, let's be kind, lack of clarity and forgetfulness. It is a bit late now, but there is a fuel station approximately a mile away from the ferry terminal (applies to both Larne and Belfast). I do hope it is all positive now with the Panda. They certainly sound like 'handy' cars to work on and live with. I have driven one a few years ago, and whilst I am not sure I would like to do a long trip in one, it was great for driving around in. Actually sounded great when pushed too, was a 3 cylinder, so had half a V6 sound at high revs lol. But there was little or no torque (certainly in comparison to my diesel ZT) to it, so perhaps that may explain the seeming lack of speed, but 120kph did come up quite quickly.

When I bought my 75 it had one blemish, namely the offside wing. A local body shop pronounced it as beyond redemption, so I scoured E-Bay and various other websites dealing in used spares.
To cut a long story short, today I managed to source one from a dismantler just a few miles away who specialises in breaking MG's and Rovers for spares, and I was able to view the donor vehicle to confirm that it was the correct paint code. The replacement is in excellent condition and will be fitted sometime next week. Last edited by Annfield-East; 5th October 2020 at 18:56.. Reason: Minor typo. |

The garage has updated me now - both tyres are ruined. Ordered two new Toyo tyres to match the others (195/45/15 I believe). Shame really, the tyres had only done 3000 miles. May as well put the new ones on the front, where they'll be most useful.
Word on the net is Toyos give 17-25k on the front, double on the rear. I can't remember ever having tyres that lasted that long, but then many of my cars have had 'decent' performance... The cars came fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1's from new, but seeing how hard the suspension is and too many nanny state sleeping policemen on the roads, I perhaps should try a 195/50 spec...? Anyway, this is not meant to be a tyres thread!

Would they be a better option? I guess there has to be a happy medium somewhere. 195/45/15 was defo how what they had out of the factory.
I run 235/45/17's on my diesel tourer, and find them good, even if not a "standard" size, so why not try something different - next time! You might have to wait a few years until next time!

No Rovers left the factory with that profile!
195/45 15s would have a tiny side wall, like black rubber bands

I think you will find that ‘45’ can only be got in 78 load rating. Too low for our cars I am afraid.
