Driver's Memory Seat
Traction Control
Electric Rear Sunblind
High Line Sat Nav inc. TV
Headlamp Power Wash
Hi-line Message Centre instrument pack & trip computer
15 inch Crown Alloy wheels (or possibly 17 inch Serpent Alloys)

But DO NOT have:
Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
Reversing Sensors
& Harmon Kardon Premium Audio Upgrade

I ask this because in another recent thread Sydneymj wrote this:

and it would appear that at least two members on here have exactly that spec of car, and both have very close VIN numbers.

It has been a puzzle to me for a long time that a collegue of mine's Wedgwood Blue Connoisseur SE, has everything it should have to make it an SE (according to the brochures), except for the missing reversing sensors & auto dimming rear view mirror.

If it turns out that he owns a dealer launch/demo CONNOISSEUR with the SE extras of:

Memory Seat
Cruise Control
Electric Rear Sunblind
Hi Line Message Centre instrument pack with trip computer

And optional extras of:

Electric Sunroof
Headlamp Power Wash
High Line Sat Nav
Traction Control
& Neptune Blue Interior

that would explain why this hybrid spec existed, as MG Rover could have specifically optioned these cars for launch purposes.

Can anyone else say if their car's match the above, so we can confirm all this please:lol:

Hi Reebs.

I think I've got one of these too!

V Reg exactly the spec you describe with 15 inch Crown wheels.
Head gasket has gone on it, but only 86500 miles.

Sounds like you do have a launch car there Jeremy, pity about the HGF on so few miles, same fate as Running Mans launch car then. What are the last few digits of the VIN number?

Going off topic slightly, the Arden green car that I have just dismantled matches a launch car spec in every respect apart from the fact that its green!

Chassis number 103210, Vreg, 1999

The Atlantic blue one was 106897 despite being registered two months behind the green one and a T reg.

1st registered 27/09/99, of the 17 Wedgwood launch cars that I have found over the months yours would seem to be the latest build so far, the closest I have is VIN 102400 1st registered 17/06/99.

Would love to have a couple of pics to add to the dossier, if you've got them

Hope Manningtree went well for you, all the pictures look good. Got the warning triangle bracket now from Corin too.

Good good I am glad Manningtree was very good apart from the early rain. How was Gaydon?

Very good, especially being part of a 10 car convoy up (pity about the rain driving there, got all our cars messy) I then spent the first half hour trying to clean it up again - in between chatting to folk.
