Default I'm one of the converted!

I must have done about 1,000 miles since starting to add 2T to my diesel. I don't monitor my consumption as religiously as some, and because I have a very sporadic type of driving schedule, with a week of no use, followed by a few days of very local driving, and then a couple of longer motorway trips, its very difficult to draw any comparisons between pre- and post- 2T added.

All I can say, is that the engine is much quieter, and the car seems even smoother to drive. I'm happy that adding 2T oil to my diesel fuel oil(!) isn't harming my engine, and will continue adding 2T every time I fill up.

BTW I'm using the Wilko's £3 for 600ml oil.

Been using 2-stroke for 12 months now, wouldn't say big improvement in MPG, but it is certainly smoother running.

I tried the 2-stroke in my tank for a couple of months. Although initially I did think the engine was a little smoother I eventually concluded there was no real difference and stopped using it. There was no difference in my MPG figures.

I've asked my local diesel expert who services my CDTi (and I do mean expert as he frequently gets jobs from other garages which they can't fix themselves) about adding 2-stroke. He was of the opinion that he couldn't see it doing any harm but really didn't think it was necessary. Most of the problems he sees with diesel systems have little to do with lubrication.

ps. To anyone who has found an improvement after adding 2-stoke please note I do not intend to upset or offend. I'm not a heretic, this is just my honest, personal experience

I have used it for about a year in my saloon, and it is running smoother and quieter imho and as they say it should keep things like pumps lubricated so whats the harm.
Regards John.
