I admit I was overtaking, gentle accelerating run up and then floored it to complete the manoeuvre. On the whole I would say my driving habits are more relaxed since I got the 75. Happier to stay in a queue etc. So, certainly not an aggressive driver, unlike my days in the 220

But as stated in a previous post, if this happens to you then it happens. The injectors were re-con units from last year's problems and the warranty had run out

The erks think that the Syn2 was a contributory factor to the problem.... I doubt that. But should I add it to the new 11k mile engine, when it gets fitted?

There are no reports of this Problem being caused by the Synergy on checking up
not just on our cars but also on the many other models/makes this is fitted to. Thousands of them
My mileage is higher and I don't particularly drive slowly, (also 170BHP)
just unlucky I feel Andrew.

You can of course seek Ron's advice further.l

I do not doubt the Synergy 2 as being part of the equation....

Just posed the question for the benefit of the "doubtfulls" out there

The fault lies with the injector, apparently. At least this time I've been give a valid reason for what happened, and had it confirmed by a "Diesel expert" I met today who, upon being given the symptoms of what happened, immediately launched into the explanation of what happens if the injector over-fuels the cylinder head.

Unlucky....... ? I've had a trouble free motoring for over 25 years (13 years with one vehicle, only serviced it once ayear and one new clutch after 100k miles) until I got this car..... Catch up time.... BIG Time

Still with an 11k mile engine en-route, maybe I'll catch up on some luck now

Andrew

Might be worth taking the old injectors and sending them to Alan at lynx, and get a bit of an investigation done, just to be on the safe side

Every Manual 75/ZT has a DMF (except the V8) and a normal clutch although some might say abnormal due to the high failure rates of the slave cylinders.

Andrews is an Automatic so no DMF
