A big advantage of my new television is that as it is much more compact, it doesn't interfere with the soundstage!

I never thought about that; what were they doing to my old CRT?

Magnets and cathode ray tubes do not mix

A magnet in close proximity will pull the phosphors and stain the colours on a crt screen.

Switch the Tv off and back on and the degaussing should correct it but left long enough and it does the tv no good at all

Thankfully Plasma and LCD TV's don't suffer this problem

Evenin' everybody, I've had to put a shilling in the meter & put the heating on,

it's perishing outside.

I've got a beef stew in the oven and it smells just about ready.

I don't know anything about that! Any brilliant thing is that the television heats up my room, along with my amplifiers- saving me having to use the heating! Really is brilliant; the picture is superb too!
