carl: If you phone em up Willy you can pay a year at a time for just over £100.

TalkTalk are doing the same, you pay £114 in advance for the year, works out £9.50/month, but you also have to commit to a 12-month contract.

damienp: We had a letter from talktalk yesterday. Guess what..... Exactly the same rate as BT.

I'm with TT too and I'm utterly fed up with its incessant price increases this year, TT seems to have spent the year doing little else. Only a few years back the line rental scam was deemed unacceptable by the regulator at £9.50/month and we were led to expect a reduction to £8 summit/month.

And ere, the piece of string which connects my phone to the net has never been so much as tightened let alone upgraded since it was put in place in the 70s, nay optical cable here, and far from improving my internet connection is getting slower and less reliable. What is I and others like me getting for these regular and inflation-busting hikes?

Been a busy ol life spent loads of the summer working on me old wagon sorting out almost all the annoying little things and all of the anoying big things and had a great fun doing it all too while its been virtually midge free up here this year.
