Interior Transformation
Earlier in the week I had a go at changing the colour of my interior accent pieces. I like the walnut but was finding having too much of it a little dark and depressing. I decided to keep the wheel, handbrake and gear shift walnut and lighten the rest... here is what I ended up with...
I sanded and sprayed it all with two coats of GMN White gold II, then 1 good coat of lacquer. When dry I went over it all with a fine nylon scourer to take the gloss off and leave a nice satin finish which does not create too many reflections... I have rather fallen for it... It gives the car interior a lighter and airier feel....

Looks surprisingly good! as well as ordering some dials from yourself I went through my wardrobe and pulled out an abundance of spares that will be going on my car or up for sale when I have sorted them properly

Its vanished!
Well, I took a sponge scourer, and a bar of vanish soap, and attacked the interior, something thats been filthy since I got it. Never did I imagine it would come up so well - if you have not tried this stuff before, get some and prepare to be amazed.
Before... ...and after... The front seats were truly filthy, and I thought possible beyond redemption, but... And a happy discovery was that the drivers seat is fitted with memory switches. Call me dumb (why not, everyone else does) but I had not noticed that before... Now to work out how it works... |

If you're thinking the ride height is a bit high, well spotted. Its literally just come off the jack on the driver's side, so has not settled back properly

Well not today, but tomorrow I'm doing the following:
- Fix reversing sensors (no chirp from any, so very broken!) - Service everything - anything that's even remotely filter-like is being replaced - Clean the interior up and shave my alcantara.

Gunned the bejabers out of my 75, pulling off from a garage forecourt onto a very busy A38
It may not sound anything out of the ordinary for some, but it's rare for me and was definitely "smile of the week"

Fitted the new intercooler hose. The old one was porous & soaked in oil. If you remove the bolt holding the expansion tank and lower it down to the left, it gives you a bit more room to manoeuvre.
