They both look much better with the proper trim rings on the wheels

Cheers, I managed to get some brand new old stock ones off ebay so they went on the mint one and the old ones off the K reg went onto the N reg.. I have the arch trims to go on the N reg upstairs and will fit them when it has a better paint job. It looks even worse now next to the K reg.
Just need some stainless steel gutter trims for the K reg and thats it! I really hope to get to Peterborough this year, whenever that is.. Can you take dogs to that show?

Fixed the P4's steering today too. There is a clamp that holds the indicators onto the column. Remove that and the steering is fine. So I removed it, oiled it and put it back on.. How odd!

I want to get as much use out of the Marina as I can so want to go to plenty of shows. But like you, depends on finances..
What I find most strange is my N reg one has had more welding in its life than you could imagine. The K reg, none at all.. it doesn't need any at all.. You could eat your dinner off it underneath. But the N reg one drives soooo much better?! The N reg has done about three times the mileage as well..

Either the K reg. isn't run in or you just need to swap the engines and stuff.

Could be that you're expecting that bit more from it, what with it being brand fire new & all

I think its more likely that the front of the car is stiffer due to all welded joints..

Bit of a bummer today, last week when I was waxoyling the underside of Marina 1 I discovered another hole.. Went to get it welded today and it turned out to be a massive hole, also some of the paint and filler I applied has been burned away so needs reapplying.. Worse still on the way home to paint and seam seal it, it rained so hard it was like someone was taking the micky. Feeling really down about it. Also starting to wonder what other bit is going to rear its ugly head as being fibreglass painted black.

Yeah, I know.. I just really hate bodging. The idea that there may be more bodge in there I don't know about really winds me up.. I think I should buy a welder.
