A few questions:
What material are they made of? Chromed plastic
When placed on to the car how slack are they? The adhesive tape ensures they are stuck fast no slack or movement.
Are they 'identical', they should be of course being from a single mould, and am I correct in that they are in no way handed, any one will fit any door? All four are identical.
The profile seems to to be a compound shape but from what I know of engineering, I would think that they could be copied fairly easily. Back engineering the original and making a tool for injection moulding will not be the easiest of tasks but for an expert it will just take some time.

The offer of a loan to copy is most generous, I believe that this will be the way to go, but it may be a week or so before we will be in a position to progress to moulding so we'll be in touch again if we may?
Safety of the item to be copied would be assured!!!
Regards, Martin

GG,
Thanks for the PM's and the above reply, with this information I shall get a package off to my cousin in the morning and contact mad4it in due course.
Here's hoping for a positive outcome.
Martin

Count me in for two sets please, assuming they're still on the horizon?

Roger.

The things you learn on this site,( please excuse me as a newbie ) didnt even know these existed but what a good idea as the number of scrtaches that these will prevent/ hide will be considerable.

If this ever does happen, I'll have some too. The scratches behind the handles are quite obvious on mine.
