I was just scanning through the thread and came across the above and I might be able to help with the solution....

My car had an Ipod interface fitted already, it worked but would not charge the new Ipod Touch I bought a few weeks ago - it charged any older units I tested it with. What I eventually managed to work out, was that Apple use a different pin on the newer Ipods to provide the charge input. So you now need an adaptor between cradle and Ipod, in order to get it to charge. Look up 'Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPhone'.

I would be VERY careful playing about with the WinCe you COULD fry (no pun intended) the GPS Board and the main board, the safest way is with Patrut's patch, it can always be un-installed.

Good Advice .. I am always super careful , with Firmware/System files

well until you have a foolproof method of restoring it all!!!

Don't worry I have no intention of messing with mine - if I get it.

Just want to get it running as standard then will look into improvements when am happy I know how to use it.

Default TV Aerial

Hi Guys

I have the 2 din unit with the TV box and wireless camera. Everything seems to be working okay except for the TV. It doesn't seem to be able to detect any channels. I assume the aerial is pants. I seem to remember someone on here had one sitting on the back parcel shelf. I have scrolled through both extensive threads but can't find the post.

Can anyone recommend a descent quality Aeriel please? And where it should be positioned?

Thanks

Edd

Default Dbb/t.

I have the same problem as you Mr Edd, I have the Chinese h/u and it is working fine. BigRuss wired the freeview box for me yesterday and after some problems with the aerials we eventually got it working with the two supplied aerial, we watched part of the Sunday musical and had loads of channels. Now I can get no channels. The i/r sensor lights green and I get the initial tv screen, I get the installation page and the channell search page but it won't go any further than that. Is this an aerial problem as we used the one from Capese which worked initially. When I go to the h/u homepage "tv" lights up briefly but not "gps" and then "tv" goes out and "gps" lights up.

Hi John

On my unit I had to go to AUX on the main to watch the TV, the TV should be greyed out on your H.U

Smile Tv.

Hi Tony, I use the Aux screen but the tuner won't pick up any channels and won't go past the installation page. It was working great yesterday when Russ fitted it. John.
