Nice to meet you DRAGRED, I hope you managed to sneak off and check out the rest of the show before you had to leave.

Nice to see the stand at the show. Are there any plans as yet for other shows?

This is the first 'Show' as such that we have been involved in as a club, and are already making overtures to get a stand for next year too, appearently it's hardest to get a stand in the first place (we have been trying for 2 years), but once you've appeared, you are generally invited back for subsequent years as a matter of course.

In the meantime, work is under way to sort out a National Meet for the early part of next year. Not a show as such, but a wonderful opportunity for hundreds of members to gather together and compare their cars. When plans are finalised an announcement will be made.

Hope that helps.

Hi Everyone!
I met the lads at the NEC and found my way here. Thanks to Reebs for letting me look around his gorgeous ZT and thanks to JakeW89 for showing me all the problems and what to look out for. I'm looking for a ZT CDTi 135 auto (It can't be a manual, I fell off my motorbike!). Insurance quotes are reasonable and the cars are cheap. I was so inspired by those at the show that I called about the 02 plate X-Power grey car I was on about at the show and went to see it on Sunday. Turns out it's a bit of a shed. I think it's worth sticking it out and saving more for a mk2. There's not much in it. Also after what the lads told me, I'll probably try for an SE over a plus. Theres a gorgeous orange one on Autotrader at the mo...
Yes and it does have to be a diesel, cos I have to feed a greedy V8 Land Rover too

Millions of times better than the tatty 02 plate car I went to see. No damage, just superficially tatty and 160,000 miles with patchy history. I wouldn't care about any of that if the price was right, but the guy was only willing to knock off £100 for cash.
I left.
Better luck next time eh, either X-Power grey or Orange I think.
