Default MOT today

She's in the Garage, had the rear NS upper wishbone rubbed down and painted, plus the front ARB drop links started complaining last week (1 year / 10,000 miles old...) so with that done, MOT is booked in this morning... Fingers crossed!

Last week my work hire car didn't turn up so I added business insurance to my policy and took the Rover 75 from Gloucester to Duxford and back. I wish I could hire a Rover 75 for work, it was the most comfortable I've been on a work trip. 318 miles, 46 mpg, mostly at 75 mph or stuck in traffic, not bad... but with the 160 remap and proper boost restored it was a dream, no problem keeping up with the traffic

Failed ... they hadnt done any work on it. The welding on the rear upper suspension arm failed due to new VOSA ruling. a little bit of welding needed on a sill, plus the N/S drop link...

Got 4 weeks to sort it out... better get some new arms then

The onky big charge will be the welding (it may be small) arm would be an hors labour, drop links would be less than that! Hopefully it comes in small

£300 all in (including the full MOT fee - over ten days). It was a big plate and they filled / painted it too - cant see that it has been done.

Quite please - now to get saving for the next jobs - Clutch master cylinder, other rear upper arm etc etc....

Yup, another years MOT, but rest assured its an ongoing running restoration... the car was a complete shed when I got it.

Well, she was all straight until I saw this today...

Someone has driven into her within the last few days, either on my drive or at work in the car park (wide disabled bay)

Haven't looked at the passenger side since Tuesday...

Door and front wing dented and scratched to bare metal.

Whoever did it wiped the dirt off (rain dust) too so they know they did it.

Not happy, need a new wing and door.
