Default Wanted - Genuine MG/Rover roof bars for 75 Saloon

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone had a set of genuine roof bars for a saloon they no longer want. One of those things I had kept meaning to get hold of, and of course X Part have now run out of. Any ideas?
Thanks
Paul

I kept my eye open for a set for 2 years hoping a second hand deal would occur. Ended up with a new pair thanks to Les at SMC for a good price just a few weeks ago. It seems they are becoming, now what's that word again?

Thule do a not unattractive set.

Best of luck on your hunt.

Paul

Part number is CAB000080PMA

If you search www.thepart.com there are 7 currently showing with SMC High Wycombe listing 2 of them.

I bought a set recently from Rimmer Brothers and found them to be very good and in my opinion worth the money.

Good luck,

Keith.

Thanks guys,
I'll give some of these guys a call tommorrow and see if the parts database comes up trumps.

GG I noticed you catch the set which Les posted up...I was obviously too slow!

I'll let you know how I get on...I actually want them so that I can put my genuine Rover push bike on the top and move it around more easily.

Cheers
Paul

I noticed two sets of roof bars in the pile of stock yet to be identified, should they turn out to be 75 I'll put them up on here straight away

Smile Success! Roof Bars on their way

Thanks all,
I thought I would 'strike while the iron was hot' and called Kernahans in Witney this morning as they were listing a set on www.thepart.com which Keith O kindly pointed out last night. They seemed a little suprised to find that they had a set in stock so are sending them up to me. Costing me full whack, but at least it will mean that I can use the genuine cycle carrier mounts that I have already got!

So, according to www.thepart.com there are still another six set out there for the taking.

Les, thanks for saying you'd have a look...having raised the question and identified that there probably were some available elsewhere I thought I would go for them before everyone else on here followed up the other sources! If you turn up some I'll probably kick myself for the saving I could have made but no doubt others will get a bargain.

Regards
Paul
