is the err due to the two milage stores checking with each other?
as Im confident that I can change the IPK stored milage but dont know if this should be before or after its fitted and recoded - I guess it wil have to be before JC |

As far as the collective knowledge on these forums are aware you cannot change the mileage data on a used IPK. Yes you can use it and it will function fine but it (as Chris says) say "Err" in the odometer display area plus whenever you put the car on Testbook, Testbook will report ECU mismatches - not a problem but something to be aware of.
Only brand new IPK's can have mileage data uploaded to them. There is nothing wrong with using a second hand IPK so long as you keep records of any mileage discrepancies for when you may come to sell the car or have it serviced. |
