Torque converter or auto gearbox wanted.
Hi folks; I'm in need of either a torque converter or complete auto gearbox for my Rover 75 KV6 2.5 petrol auto. I'm told the starter ring is in fact integral, hence will not seperate. Does anyone have either of the above for sale please.? PM with price and location and if possible your contact phone No. It's important as the car is "off-road" meanwhile.
Thanks in anticipation ... Mike. |

Is the starter ring integral with the torque converter on the V6 auto????
There does seem to be a severe lack of info about this???? ... |

As per my post on your other thread and the post above this, the ring gear is NOT part of the torque converter.
On an auto it is possible to remove the engine and leave the autobox and all the drive shafts in place but it is labour intensive, more than likely quicker to remove the box. As said before never heard of one failing on the 75, have they checked the starter teeth?

Thanks Ray and company, but Shaun at Yeovilton has come up trumps again, had great service from him before. :xmas-smiley-004: Just awaiting his response and will drive over to collect said part. Thanks to all members for another terrific response ... succesful of course.
