I've had several quotes for a new windscreen with rain sensor...£150 cash fitted!! Its the the other parts I need to get it working. So I NEED a compatable rear view mirror and wiring and prism and sensor? Plus a bit of diagnostic work?????? Cheers Paul (Can you tell I'm clueless about all this ) |

Les has the mirror covers here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-M...item2eb81c6957 Alternatively, this looks like the complete mirror with covers http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-A...item2314751872

I had a new windscreen with rain sensor fitted for £230... a local guy could of done it for £170. Most of that cost is labour - even a second hand screen wont bring it down much. The REAR screens can be a pain to source (due to the different antenna configurations on different models) though. |

Hi,
I had originally thought that I had read on here that the rain sensor screens where rare too. But I've been quoted £150 cash fitted on a new one. Now as its a retro fit ...I'm trying to find out just what exactly I would need to make it all work on my "w" 2000 conn se. Cheers Paul |

I believe they are interchangeable however. Bear in mind that the rain sensing function on the screen is separate from the autodim function of the mirror. There should be additional wiring in the headlining above the mirror mounting point with maybe an additional or bigger connector. A T4 session may also be required. Hope this helps.

Thank you.......
Thank you for that great reply Jeremy.
I've been offered the sensor...but the other bits including the correct rear view mirror look really expensive!! Guess its a case of hunting down the parts second hand......... New thread on the wanted section shortly, me thinks. Cheers Paul |
