Default Air Bag Warning

I have read many threads about yellow plugs under the seats, but can't get down to them due to medical reasons.
Took car to ex Rover Dealership, they used T4 and reported "cant communicate with SRs ECU, but can with other ECU's, all fuses ok needs at least a day of further investigation"
Any idea what could be wrong?
I paid for the test to identify the problem but am back where I started.
Had the car from new 75 Connie SE 2.5L Auto, done 37000 miles only.
