I seeeee it'll probably fit ok but you'll need a new mounting bracket, might be worth giving them a call just to confirm (especially at that price)

That is also round.

The picture is the same as the diesel, but there must be a difference in the diesel, 1.8 and 1.8 T, when it comes to the internals or not ?

The pipework's different diameter for the different engine types/sizes

As Colin said, diesels and petrol are different.... Don't really see why the 1.8T is though.... Would love twin pipes, but do not really want to be altering too much and having welds done...

welding is not as much as a problem, as ending up with a box that has the wrong back pressure, hence the difference in turbo models sometimes.

And yes the mounting brackets are also a concern. not sure how they would go on the tourer, without the loose bracket. Unless one has very thin hands.

53mm for the 1.8 n/a and 60mm for the turbo.

Why not look into having a back box fabricated from stainless steel,cheaper than you think.

it gets confusing my car a cdt has twin pipes i dont know if all the dervs are the same,have you tried Rimmers or xpart ?price will go up then though but it should be OE quality

poppy how bad is the back box?can it be repaired? can you post some photos of where its failed?
