CDTI Wont Start for the first time in 3 years
CAR NOW FIXED
see http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=88603 Hi All, I read the threads and believe the fuel pumps are ok as fuel is flowing freely. The car turns over but doesn't catch. Pelums clear. I thought the fix would be easy, but im hoping its not gonna cost me loads... Where do I GET THIS EASY START STUFF? Rich Last edited by Hogwarzt; 26th July 2011 at 19:57.. Reason: fixed |

Hi,
Another way to ensure it is high pressure related (injector leaky) Try this: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=69308 Good luck Mike |

Any inflammable vapour will do, my ZX will fire up on WD40, Silicone spray, hair lacquer, fly spray, etc etc.. You only need a quick blast of it just to confirm the engine will start and run briefly..
If it does then you know the problem is with the fuel supply innit... ... |

Chaps,
Got the AA man out and no surprise couldnt get it going. He did connect it to his diag machine and ran an engine rev test whilst cranking the engine, It read Zero suggesting the Crank??? sensor He tried to get ot off but I could see he was making a ****** of it, but hey! looks like I wont have to pay for the repair. famous last words. |

When you turn it over are you getting any revs showing on the rev counter? If not then could be your crank sensor.

Hi,
Looks like I've got to the bottom of my non-starter, apparently the ' fuel pressure sensor' that's mounted on the tank pump itself! Its a bosch part so can be obtained seperately. The garage that found my problem was MandG in Bradford. I collect the car afterwork so I'll keep you posted! Rich |
