Default Front seat dismantling

Hi, Both my leather front seats have began to tear on the seat cushion where the backrest meets it on both sides of the seat. I suspect a previous owner may have played around with the heating elements in the seat and damaged it then. How do I seperate the backrest from the seat in order to get a closer look and maybe attempt some kind of repair? Any ideas much appreciated.

Do you mean at the sides as I think they all do that.

Many of them do indeed, you do not dismantle or seperate the back from the base, just remove the seat and the base cover. Once you have the seat upside down, you will see how it is clipped on.
