The electric seats - possible to fix switch?
As the title might suggest, one of the switches on my electric seats got disconnected somehow from the cables, I know the function works because it does when I press one of the memory settings so it's a matter of taking off the plastic cover and just connecting the cables back, the question is though. Is it possible without taking the seat out ? Because I'm a bit scared to take the seat out myself in case I won't be able to put it back in properly connected. Any advice appreciated !

No idea but the seats ate extremely easy to remove. You just need a torx 50 socket

The plastic side valence can be taken off quite easily with seat in situ.
There are 2 small torx screws at the back of the valence, top and bottom and access to them may only be possible by moving the seat back with the reclining mechanism. Then on the inside of the valence at the front there is a nut that needs to come off. If you are lucky it is only finger tight to start with as access is difficult. Once these three fixings are off the valence will come away and the connectors will be visible. All from memory, so hope this is correct. Hopefully the whole switch pack is not faulty as I think they are about £65. Matt |
