Default Breaking 2001 - 75.

No forum for ebay etc so put it here.

Other than a broken grill I see no reason for it being broken?

Hi Andy,

Here's a possible scenario:

Electric cooling fan motor loses slow & medium speeds. Owner doesn't notice. Motor fails mechanically ejecting shrapnel which damages grille. Garage quotes owner for new MG Rover motor assembly, fan blades and a high labour charge, saying that the repair will cost more than the car is worth. Owner accepts this illogical view and scraps car.

I know of a perfectly good, low mileage Rover 100 which suffered this fate after failing an MOT.

Perhaps you can save the 75 Andy, and make a small profit too!

Simon.

Seems to be two different cars featured in the photographs - the blue one looks particularly forlorn, dumped under another vehicle. Painful to see our lovely cars discarded in such a cavalier fashion.....
