I've opened passenger side, but cannot see the heater matrix to try to push it out. I'm not absolutely certain the heater matrix is the problem, so I'd rather not destroy it in the process of removing it. What do you think are my options? Last edited by Sting; 30th January 2011 at 22:08.. |

Hello there Sting,
Good man from Galway, I remember a good few party nights there several years ago now. Was running my own body shop and valeting business in Laois til a few years ago and miss Ireland big time. Anyhow, when I had cut the pipes on my heater matrix, I pulled on the 2 U-bends of the matrix. The back of the heater matrix visible on the passenger side was covered in a grey foam strip, I pushed on that side whilst pulling on the drivers side. There wasn't anything holding it like Bernard said, but is a tight fit. Wiggle the matrix a touch but be careful not to break where the pipes join the matrix as if that breaks or leaks, other members have said a replacement matrix will be needed and it aint cheap. Good luck buddy. |
