Default Dab

Can anyone recommend a DAB aerial that doesn't require a hole being drilled in the roof.

I've just picked up the Kenwood DAB add-on box for my headunit and was wondering what's best to use with it.

I have a twin diversity tuner Mark, I have 2 of these fitted, one by the passenger visor, and one on the opposite rear side window.

high def screen definately needs 2, if not high def screen you will be amazed at the reception.

Mark is looking for DAB which is digital radio, not DVB, which is tv.

Out of interest though, I have an erising double din unit with digital tv (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Erising-ES982T...item2a0cf6cb53)

which has a digital tv, but has a cheapo roof mag aeriel, which is poor, I am not expecting to be able to drive at motorway speeds watching perfect tv, but when I am parked up, I would like to be able to view something, is the "96db gain" aeriel any good?

Update on the Kinetic glass mount - superb! I received it today, fitted, and reception has been perfect, not done any distance, will be doing so over the weekend, so will put to the test then.

Well I did work all night and it looked like DVB to me at the time

As for the antennas, I am not certain about the 96db claims but they are as good as anything. High def screen seems to be signal hungry.A mate tried my old Xtrons in his 75, he has my old £40 freeview tuner and one of the antennas above. Only got about 25% of the channels I got with my twin diversity & two antennas

Thanks devilish, mine has built in freeview, and only a single aeriel, currently using the 3" magnetic roof aeriel it came with, but looking for something better, so not sure your aeriel will be any better.

Is the roof antenna active or passive

?? passive I think, it is not powered in any way.

further update on the glassmount dab aeriel - brilliant!! yesterday went from Colchester to shoeburyness, and today to Snetterton in the wilds of Norfolk, and worked perfectly, most of the time showing signal quality of 100%, with lows of about 96% in dips, have to wonder why Pure sell the highway with a pathetic interior glassmounted aeriel, it really doesn't do it any justice.
