I had one for three years. Drum brakes and crossply tyres all round and no seat belts or air bags. Great fun. 82 mph flat out if you have the nerve. I used to drive mine between Manchester and Newcastle in the nineties and claim 40p a mile from work!

The one in the auction was a 1958 Varitone like the ones that Motobuild are selling. Obviously someone has tidied it up a bit.

There is a cottage industry still making the repair panels for them. Having enough metal to attach a repair panel to is the tricky bit.
