I have looked into this quite carefully Sean, I would have ordered one but the company that I bought the MG surround from did not have any other kind of surround.
There are pros and cons regarding the Roewe surround, The pros are It includes the upper and lower grilles The cons are the sections between the arrows in the pic below have to be cut away from the bumper It also seems to me that the both the Roewe 750 grille and bumper have changed in design, it appears more convex, and the bottom seems to have been squared off somewhat, and the lower side grille vents have changed from 2 to 4 The indicators seem to have changed design also . Roewe 750 It would be interesting to see one of the Roewe 750 grilles Sean. I have a spare premium bumper I do not mind sacrificing to see if a retro fit is possible, or if a complete Roewe 750 bumper with all the fittings are required. Problem is as far as I am concerned, is getting a complete bumper to the UK undamaged. Wherre did you order the Roewe 750 grilles from

A wierd thing when I opened the box containing the MG 7 surrond and grill parts. The plain black plastic grille bits were wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap, the chrome surround was wrapped innot much cling film, lucky it was not marked or even broken.

Sean Hi new to this forum but have bought a double din system for my car from you last summer through Ebay and am interested in upgradeing my Mg ZT-T 260 to the prium Bumper. it appears premium bumpers are easy to get hold off in the UK but the chrome surround is the difficult part, I have tried to read through and understand which grill fits what bumper but still a bit confused so hope you can clarify. If I have a UK premium bumper which surround fits it ? without cutting bits out. and do you have a picture of that grill? not worried about the mesh as will make my own. Regards Ian Thanks Ian |

The Chinese MG7 grill looks a good probability. This has the octagonal recess to take the classic MG badge. Plans are afoot to have an octagonal Rover badge custom made so it will fit the MG7 grill. So, all theoretical so far. Try Google Images for photos of all this stuff. TC |
