Default Stiff gearchange

Hi Guys,
The gearchange on my manual 2.0 Diesel is a bit stiff to use, can anyone suggest how I can improve it? It's ok, but gets a bit tiring in traffic, takes a bit too much effort!
Cheers, Jeff

That's what is wrong with mine.
Told it may be a lower engine mount or low on the fluid...turns out my clutch is on the way out. Check the cheapest first

Could even just be needing a little lube, try taking off the gearstick gaitor and dripping some light oil down on the balljoint and also try spraying some lube oil on the cables where they exit their shrouds next to the gearbox, i did this to mines and it made it alot easier.
