![]() As far as I know, a cash purchase from a private seller is "Sold As Seen" without any sort of come back.
Sorry, not the opinion you want I'm afraid... That's unless you got the seller to do a receipt with some form of Warranty implied on it, but that might take a legal battle to follow up. |

![]() I would be surprised if it is a HGF on a V6...........Most likely is split thermostat, followed by a non working fan or even a expansion cap.
The v6 is a pretty robust engine.

![]() as said by others the kv6 isn't known for HGF in the 75/zt format they redesigned it comprehensively following massive problems in the 825, pity they didn't follow that through to the 4 cylinder versions. Are you sure it's not a garage assuming HGF just because it's a MGRover? Come back wise no real come back on seller assuming they are a genuine private seller and not a part time trader

![]() Hi Matt, what garage told you it was hgf? I know there are a couple of MG/Rover garages in royston but there is a guy near Ely who is a specialist in MG/Rover and is honest and also cheap, let me know if you need his number
Regards, Gary

![]() just done a bit of re search as to rights and such buying from a private seller .. if it was advertised as a excellent car and has this has happened in days then you will have the rights as if bought of a dealer .. check that they aint selling more cars with same number as they will be deemed as a trader,if that is the case they will have to repair or re fund the money .. as i said it is all about the how the car was adverised post the ad up here if it is still to hand ...
