Always the holy grail of the guitarist who want to play ....spirited stuff, I have always wished for a Les paul standard with sunburst finish, but it would be best if i learn to play more than barre chords, i'll have to stick with its poor cousin..my Yamaha SG1000s.

i also own a les paul standard in heritage cherry sunburst and a 335 in cherry.
les pauls appreciate with age,the magnets in the pickups age and alter the tone and some say the grain in the wood follows the sound waves. the construction of a les paul is mahogany back and neck with a two piece maple top..the more figured the more desirable. here's apicture of my standard. |

Very nice. I recently bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special II, as I'm not good enough to justify spending too much on a guitar!
Here's the rest of my little collection... Tanglewood RVB2 Bass, Westone Spectrum DX, and an unbranded Stratocaster copy.

i've owned quite a few les pauls over the years, tend to buy and sell them.
definitely my favourite choice of guitar. the les paul custom in the first picture retails at a staggering £1,800.00 and i paid nothing like that for it. |
