Changing IPK
I've just bought a new IPK with message center from fleebay to fit onto my non message center CDTi. I've read several posts and how too's but would still like a bit of advise. I've bought a petrol verson as it was too cheap to pass up but after doing a bit of reading up I'm now thinking would I be better of buying a diesel Rover 75 Kmph (on offer at Rimmer Bros) with amber illumination and swop my current dial facias over then change the amber LED's to blue as then my rev counter would work in the correct range.
Or is there a way of swapping the rev counter from my diesel IPK onto the new petrol IPK with message center. |

You can just leave it alone , and use the Petrol REV counter in the diesel like I have, you just never reach the red line !! ever .
The IPK is unit contruction ..IE you can't swap bits about much.. except the dials, but then it won't read right . on the RPM !! bin there tried it !! Chris

Remember also that it requires a T4 to install electronically and you are best fitting the new IPK where the T4 is located. That's because if there's above a certain mileage recorded (400Km max I think) the T4 will reject the new unit and you've wasted your money.
