Gutted that I missed the meet, but I guess doing a wheel bearing was a bit toooooo big a job for it

Fingers crossed for the next one.

Not with the right experience and tools I'd have thought. Even in the Winter we can get a good six hours of working time

Front or rear?

Rears are fairly straightforward so long as the disc comes off easily.

That and a dirty great socket set!

yes Dave, the idea has been that members turn up and get jobs done on their cars by themselves and other members helping with advice and support, so far they have been very popular with about 15 members coming to the last one.

They are based around Wolverhampton/Walsall Area, we do not tackle any jobs that involve great mess such as engine work with oil etc, but we do do lots of other things such as T4 sessions, fitting of powerfold mirrors, seat swaps, reversing sensor fitting, fbh testing and a host of other things, anything done is entirely at your own risk as we are keen amateurs rather than seasonmed professonals, although between us we do have a lot of knowledge about the cars.

If you look at the pictures in one of the posts above you will get a good idea of what goes on, we do not have a another meet date set yet as there is the pride of longbridge meet and national meet at Gaydon in April so the next one will likely be in May
