I did not realise that the inputs were speaker inputs - I thought that there would be pre-amp inputs. Maybe an interface can be placed in line to use pre-amp outputs from the head unit.

Have the Harm Kardon AMplifier all fitted in the 75 when I brought it, the quility and sound from my cds are GREAT
Suppose what you have never have you never missed, if I not had it I would sure miss it as I love my music

Never noticed the space it takes up in the boot, have never had to put anything big in the boot yet

Turn the bass up and you can join the boy racers LOL

The sound quality is much better (some say better then the BM54 unit) bass improved, higher RMS output and cleaner with lower distortion.
So, is all the audio passed through the BM24/the unit it replaces?

I.e. does all sound quality improve, or just radio?

All the audio passes through the "radio". MG Rover took the loudspeaker outputs of the standard radio and diverted them into the input of the HK power amplifier. The resulting sound levels are much higher (i.e. louder) and the sub woofer provides thumping bass. However, the distortion levels present in the "radio" are amplified by the HK amp. which is noticeable when using the OE Philips "radio". JohnDotCom says that the BM24 is much higher quality, so the amplified distortion may or may not be lower. I don't know as I haven't heard this set-up in operation.

Hope that makes sense.

Simon.
