I know they can do smart repairs with pulling rods but thought they still had to drill a small hole.

Have you asked chipsaway for a quote, used them end of last year and pretty good results for a scrape on front wing and corner of bumper £110. They only paint a small area and blend it in, and come to your home or work address so no running around or being without the car.

No drilling at all, uses a spot weld apparantly as an anchor to pull out the dent. Rubbed down, undercoat and then resray followed by laquer all over roof.
