No it should have said CDT/i engines as they are identical apart from the Xpart unlock codes to make it 131

During the MOT emission test (every 2 years over here) Diesel engines will be revved up several times until the engine speed limiter kicks in. Just cruel.

Problem discovered..
Think I found the problem........
When we had a look at the engine, opening it up to expose the crankshaft, found that the bolts were extremely tight, had to use the an air ratchet to get them off. All except the two at the end of the engine where the shaft broke. The shims, at that point were excessively worn, whereas the others were "like new". So it seems that at some point the bolts had either:- 1. worked loose, or, 2. were never properly tightened at the factory. Therein lies the root of the sheared crankshaft, so the next time you're under your diesel, check your bolts.

The M47r engine used in the 75 is a "detuned" version of the one they fit into the BMW 3 & 5 series I believe. They won't have changed any engine parts in detuning it, that would have been far too expensive, the easiest-cheapest way to alter it would be to change the ECU set-up. so logically, adding a Ronbox only puts it back to where it was originaly or slightly better. Either way it won't cause any harm to the engine..
